32 BIT Utilities

although all us power users hate windows, because it is so unstable <and if u disagree, cause you system is stable, u must baby your pc alot> we all have to live with and use it, because microsoft has alomst a monopoly on the market so it support windows or support your own company's death (except for Netscape Hero's of the Holy wars AKA Browser Battles) So i hate em but there all i got, so here are some utilites.

<note: i have only toyed with win95 but i'm told by the dude that win98 isn't much better>

NOTE: 32BIT and 16BIT version of programs are given, because windows 95/98 can use 16 and 32BIT programs, but can only take full advantage of the power (lol) of windows with 32BIT programs. (also 16 Bit versions tend to be smaller, and in some cases, simplier.)

GetRight 32BIT Version kicks @$$ it's larger but much more powerful.

This version of GetRight lets you stop, start resume and recover downloads. meaning you can stop downloading and finish later, and if you have a file that u didn't use getright to start downloading and your computer locked up, you can use GetRight to pick up where you left off. 1.16MB (the 16BIT version is smaller and simplier, if you would rather use that and upgrade later click here 977KB

Winzip Verson 7 latest and greatest version of winzip. Lets you drag file icons onto the .zip file and addes them to it (known as "drag and drop") 921KB For version 6.3 click here 614KB

exit95 Ever get tired of clicking, start, shutdown, yes ? well just leave a link to this on your desktop and your only a double click away from a safe normal shutdown. <Note: not tested by me, in win 98, use at your own risk, but i believe, that it should work since 98 is really only a souped up ver of win 95.> 88Kb NOTE: you must keep vbrun300.dll in the same directory as the program files.

A Clone search and destroy prog (Clone Master) fairly simple program yet even on my tiny 2.1GB drive it overloads me with possible duplicant, same name and 0 byte files. Sorry no16Bit version.

Cache and Cookie Washer for Internet Explorer 4.0+ This Rather Small program can prove quite useful if you are tight for hard drive space, or just want to get rid of Cookies (Aol's built in Browser uses a *hacked*...err... slightly modified version of IE 4 so This link is for AOL users aswell.)

LeechFTP In my opinion this utility, which is free by the way <not many, if any FTP programs are free> meets and beats compitition in many ways.

Add/Remove 4Good As i often say, "this is what <insert program or feature here> would have looked like if it had 6 months more developing. and i say it here "This is what the add/remove programs feature in win95/8 would have looked like if it had spent 6 more month underdevelopment. Very useful, if u have every deleted where the program files are but still have registry entrys or still have the program on the "add/remove programs" list

I'm always looking for newer and more utilities feel free to email the site where i can get em at, but i'm looking for stuff u can use alot, GetRight is very useful because aol crashes alot etc. For more detailed descriptions feel free to ask. also, i welcome any tips or pointers you may have about improving this site
